How To Add Or Remove Products On Your Online Store

Managing products on your WordPress store powered by WooCommerce is an essential aspect of running an eCommerce business. Whether you want to add new products to your store or remove outdated ones, this guide will walk you through the process step by step. By the end, you’ll be confident in your ability to maintain your online store effectively.
Adding Products to Your WooCommerce Store:
Step 1: Log In to Your WordPress Dashboard
- Open your web browser and navigate to your WordPress dashboard. Typically, you can access it by adding “/wp-admin” to your website’s URL (e.g., www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin).
- Enter your username and password to log in.
Step 2: Access the WooCommerce Product Section
- Once logged in, locate the left-hand sidebar and click on “WooCommerce.” This will expand a submenu.
- Click on “Products” in the submenu to access your product management page.
- To add a new product, click the “Add New” button at the top of the Products page. This will open a blank product editing page.
Step 4: Fill in Product Details
- Start by adding the product’s title and a detailed description in the respective fields.
- Scroll down to set the product’s price, SKU (stock keeping unit), and inventory details.

Removing Products from Your WooCommerce Store:

- Click on “WooCommerce” in the left-hand sidebar.

- Scroll through your list of products or use the search bar to find the product you want to remove.
Delete the Product
- Hover your mouse cursor over the product you want to remove. This will reveal options below the product’s title.
- Click “Trash” to move the product to the trash. It will no longer be visible on your website.
Permanently Delete or Restore (Optional)
- If you wish to permanently delete the product, navigate to the “Trash” tab at the top of the Products page.
- Hover over the trashed product and click “Delete Permanently.” To restore a product, click “Restore.”
